Basílica de Bom Jesus


New Goa is filled with buzzing city life where you can find chic pubs and noisy DJs, but Old Goa is filled with plenty of historical and religious sites. One such destination is Basilica de Bom Jesus. This religious destination comprises the remains of the deceased St. Francis Xavier and takes you back to the 16th-century era. Owing to its remarkable ancient architecture, this Basilica was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1999. To attend the grand feast of St. Francis Xavier, huge crowds visit this Basilica from different parts of the world during November and December.


Dudhsagar Falls


One of the most aesthetically pleasing and tallest waterfalls in India, Dudhsagar is a sight to behold. For every nature lover, it is a feast for the eyes. You need to rent a taxi to visit the Colem village, where these waterfalls are located. It is best advised to visit Dudhsagar falls during or after the Monsoon when the water is streaming.


Se Cathedral Goa


Amongst the most appealing churches of India, is the Se Cathedral Goa which is incredibly unique for its Portuguese-Manueline style of architecture. Built-in memory of St. Catherine, this marvellous piece of architectural excellence comprises a courtyard and six beautifully decorated panels. The golden bell set amidst the top, is one of its remarkable features. One of the towers of this cathedral was damaged in the 17th century and has not been restored till date. It is also included in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
